How can I help myself succeed?

The truth is, although it is not impossible to change our lives alone, it is significantly less likely to be successful and is far more likely to be associated with suffering when we try to do it on our own. You see, because we are such an inherently social species, our success or failure is very dependent on who we surround ourselves with. Several people, including Tony Robins, have talked about how the 5 people we spend the most time with (whether we like them or not, wheth

How do I get to live MY life?

Life is about choices. What we prioritize vs not completely changes our lives! It determines if we are happy or miserable. If we are healthy or not, what kinds of relationships we have … in short, our ability to prioritize our values and needs determines everything! Wouldn’t it be great to be able to choose what we cared about or not? Here is a great video showing you how… Enjoy your new found freedom! How to change your brain

Neuroplasticity is the brains’ ability to adapt, structurally and/or functionally to the demands and stresses of our day to day lives, so we can continue to survive and even thrive. The biggest driver of change in our brain is BEHAVIOR. There are no drugs to promote Neuroplasticity and nothing is better than PRACTICE to help us learn. Interestingly, increased struggle may even be a good thing, as it increases the adaptation in the brain! Neuroplasticity can work both ways tho

    How to have good relationships

Empathy is one of the important pieces of forming emotionally safe and positive relationships. It is a way we feel and can help someone else feel SEEN, HEARD and UNDERSTOOD (like they matter). Empathy is feeling WITH someone in order to connect with them. This means we have to be willing to connect to times in our lives when we have felt similarly, even if those times were painful. It is also a two way street, it requires vulnerability and sharing as well as being there with

Finally get rid of that bad habit!

The most common way we harm ourselves is by PRETENDING it isn’t a big deal. We minimize how hurt or angry we are, pretend smoking or drinking just this time won’t make a huge difference, or having that last piece of cake,  and then distract ourselves to keep it all at bay. We use distracting ourselves to help us pretend. It takes the edge off whatever feeling or insight we don’t feel ready to sit with. We distract ourselves by eating, watching NETFLIX, spending hours on socia

    Who am I?

What makes us who we are? Is it how we look? What we accomplish? What we do for others? Are we just packages of genetic traits that get mish-mashed together in a predictable way? Dr. Brian Little explains it in an entertaining way in his 15 min video- answer the questions below to gain some additional insights if you are looking for a challenge! So what are the projects that matter to you? What are the things that make you excited enough to temporarily change your personality

    Why we believe lies

So how come we fall for the lies we are told? How do so many people cheat, lie gamble, commit fraud, and get away with harming others? It doesn’t make sense. Really the only people who should be able to dupe us are sociopaths, and they only make up about 1-3% of the population. So again- how come we fail to recognize so many lies? Let’s look at a real life example… I was recently invited to be the keynote speaker at an international conference. For those who are not in the co
