How can I help myself succeed?

The truth is, although it is not impossible to change our lives alone, it is significantly less likely to be successful and is far more likely to be associated with suffering when we try to do it on our own.

You see, because we are such an inherently social species, our success or failure is very dependent on who we surround ourselves with.

Several people, including Tony Robins, have talked about how the 5 people we spend the most time with (whether we like them or not, whether by choice or not) determines our health, wealth and quality of life.

It makes sense… if I tend to spend my time with pot-smoking videogamers, they will call me to smoke pot and play video games. And just to be clear, there isn’t anything inherently wrong with that, unless that isn’t who you want to be.

Similarly, if you hang out with activists, they will call you to attend a rally, or a protest, which again, is not an issue, unless that is not in line with your values.

So I have 2 important questions for you…

  1. Who in your life challenges you to be better and grow? To stretch beyond your comfort zone?

  2. Are you willing to truly and sincerely look at your tribe and take the TRIBE TEST?

  3. If you are, follow the link HERE and answer the questions. Do this for the 5 people you spend the most time with.

I also strongly recommend you watch this TED talk, about the longest human study on happiness (12 min).

Have a great week!
